If its own enlargement is its most immediate concern, internationally it is India and China that are the hot topics.   1. I think the WTO Doha Round is Europe’s missed opportunity in general and it will help loosing out particularly in Mexico that is freely trading with the US and Canada. Though many European countries are topping world competitiveness tables, and Europe still has the world’s biggest exporting country, in general Europe showed diverging interests and a lack of enthusiasm for compromising in WTO. Europe in all is in a relative decline in the world economy and we badly need markets until we are competitive.
